11. The Creeks Preserve:

Winner of the 2022 Nantucket Preservation Trust Landscape and Garden Award. This property was purchased by the Nantucket Islands Lank Bank in 2019 to create a public park overlooking one of the most dramatic views of Nantucket harbor. The Land Bank engaged with me to handling of the existing buildings on the property. Many were removed for re-use on other properties. The existing main house was a sprawling combination of historic and modern wings which I researched and documented. Through the historic research, I determined that the small cottage wing actually had an even smaller and older form within it. We decided that it was important to maintain and restore the historic cottage and set it within the park setting
